more teaching perspective...

I want to share a quote I saw read from Miss G over at Closing the Gap in NYC. This was apparently on a memo from their Special Ed department that speaks volumes:

"At the end of the day, our story is just about kids. Real living, breathing, eating, drinking, sometimes loud, sometimes annoying, sometimes funny, always beautiful, always amazing kids."

I have to say that it is such a true statement and sooooo easy to forget. As frustrated as I get in being a school teacher, that frustration rarely has anything to do with my daily interactions with my students. There are sooooo many things we could complain about in being school teachers but we all need to remember that it really is all about the kids and making a difference in their lives.

Thanks for sharing Miss G!

I have to agree...more often than not the frustration is not necessarily with the students, but with the "business" of school.

Hello Guys,

Thanks for sharing Interesting article..

I read somewhere teachers get paid six figures to teach. The article is at Pay Teachers More Do you think education will improve if teachers are paid more? I think so. This is much interesting and informative…
